Folkekirkens Tværkulturelle Samarbejde

Folkekirkens Tværkulturelle Samarbejde (FTS) arbejder blandt asylsøgere, flygtninge og indvandrere med henblik på at fremme en folkelig og kirkelig integration på tværs af etniske og religiøse forskelle. Det sker bl.a. gennem det personlige møde mellem mennesker - ved gudstjenester og igennem mange forskellige aktiviteter.

FTS blev oprettet i 1999 som et samarbejde mellem sogne i Hjallese og Skt. Knuds provstier i Odense Kommune og har årligt ca. 7.500 besøgende

Folkekirkens Tværkulturelle Samarbejde – The Danish Church´ Cross-Cultural Network in Odense.

The purpose of The Cross-Cultural Network is to work among asylum seekers, refugees and immigrants with the intention of furthering a popular and religious integration across ethnic and religious differences. The aim is realized at church services and through the different cross-cultural activities.

FTS was established in 1999 as a collaboration between parishes in Hjallese and Skt. Knuds Deaneries in Odense Municipality and has around 7,500 visitors every year.

Der er international gudstjeneste i Skt. Knuds kirke d.1. lørdag i hver måned. Gudstjenestesproget er hovedsagligt dansk, men også engelsk indgår. (link til gudstjeneste).

An international church service is held at 6.p.m. the first Saturday of every month (except July) at the Cathedral. The language is mainly conducted in Danish but English is also spoken.

SERVICES IN ENGLISH

Are you English-speaking and do you want to attend a service in English you are very welcome to join the English services in Odense.

Where and when?
Each service take place at Graabrødre Klosterkirke on Saturdays at 11.00 and has its own theme.

After the services there will be time for a snack and a chat.

The pastor
The services are conducted by pastor Lene Crone Nielsen, University Chaplain at University of Southern Denmark who also offers counselling sessions for the students at SDU regardless of nationality and religious affiliation.

The University Chaplain is employed by the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Denmark.
